Jigsaw’s Airborne Instructor course is designed to train experienced aircrew how to take the next step and become Aircrew Instructors and assessors. The training involves participants learning the expert skills to teach new (ab-initio) students, and develop existing crew using both the classroom and in the airborne helicopter environment.
Teaching in the flying environment requires a very dynamic and specialises set of skills and techniques. Being trained as an Aircrew Instructor will allow you to Train, mentor, develop and examine other crewmwmbers in the helicopter flying and winching environment. Aircrew instructors give an organisation the flexibility to train new crew, and assess and certify existing crew as current and appropriately skilled to perform their role.
All helicopter organisations globally require Aircrew and Rescue Crew to be able to consistently maintain skills and demonstrate competency through airborne testing. Having company instructors means not having to outsource this need and ensure a strong culture of standardisation and proficiency from within your training department.
Our Instructor Course is designed for both Hoist Operator Instructors and Rescue Crew (Wireman) Instructors.
Students must provide proof of previous flying experience prior to being eligible to complete AIT.
